Housewife Hiccups: Please don’t feed the dust bunnies

  • katef · 8 months ago
    Does it really work?
We are fighting the 'bunny dust' (as my girls call it) in our house because of allergies and was almost suckered in to buying one of these things on late night TV infomercials... but $50 for a duster... seriously?

I was considering getting one of those infomercial ones too. The one I
bought was around $8 and I found that it did pick up the dust rather than
just push it around. I also like the fact that to clean it, you just need
wash it in warm water with a bit of mild detergent, rinse it and stand it
upright to dry. Then it's good to go again :)

I'm not a very good duster either. I have the flylady feather duster - which I do LOVE - and just dust around things with that every week. I have an enjo glove for when I do get around to moving things and dusting properly - which only happens a couple of times each year :-(.

Ok... time to 'fess up: dusting? What's that?! Maybe I'd better investigate the vileda.

I usually use Aldi baby wipes, and just wipe things down as and when I notice the dust (not very often).
We have more in common than I realised. ;)

That's a good idea too. I have lots of wipes left over from the baby.
